Welcome to this blog offered by the Guelph Real Estate Group (GREG) to people seeking to learn more about real estate thinking.
The core members of our group are Paul Anglin, Avis Devine, Jane Londerville, Marion Steele and Jian Zhou. We are professors teaching in the Real Estate and Housing B.Comm. major in the College of Business and Economics at the University of Guelph.
Since students are the people most dedicated to learning more, this blog is intended to add to the learning which already goes on in our classes. There is always something more to be learned which cannot fit within the class time. Occasionally, an answer given in class may not be as helpful as it might have been and we can use this blog to give the question and a better answer.
To demonstrate the breadth of the real estate industry, we will comment on media stories from time to time, usually by linking to the original source of the information so that readers learn by seeing beyond the headline. This blog will not help you to decide whether you should buy or sell real estate today, tomorrow or yesterday; enough other people are willing to offer such help.
We may also offer comments and observations based on our personal research programs. We will try to give you a better sense of the questions you should be asking.
We invite comments since a dialogue produces the best learning.
